Next Up... Lingerie

I credit my wife for introducing me to all sorts of music and artists. A few years back, she downloaded random songs from Robin Thicke which I began to really dig. His recent album, "Sexy Therapy" really struck a cord with me. Now I may not be able to relate to any of his songs but his lyrics are very imaginative while the beats really set a good mood. The song "Jus Right" inspired me to make my next commercial. Can't give you any details on the story yet but I do see "hardworking business woman in sexy, comfortable lingerie".

In this project, I will be teaming up with the famed music composer Eric Goetz, from such shorts as "Black Coffee" and "Bookie". He is also the same genius behind the music in the Thai Nguyen commercial I am still working on.

To add more of an interesting flavor, I ran into a super talented singer on Youtube named Sem. His smooth style and sweet voice just makes you wonder why this guy hasn't been signed yet. I reached out to him and got him on this project and sing the song that Eric will be putting together. The only hurdle will be the fact that Sem lives in the Netherlands. This will be interesting but if we pull it off, this will be a treat for everyone. Very exciting.

Some things to look forward to

I have to make it into a habit to update this blog. Been occupied with a mix of projects spanning from corporate training videos to fashion commercials. Here's a line up of what's to come:

Commercials
- Thai Nguyen Fall 2010 commercial (postponed release due to a reshoot, April?)
- Untitled lingerie commercial (Spring)
- Allan & Mei Tien companionship documentary (April)
- Sean Hoyt Photography promotional ad (Spring)
- Untitled clothing-line commercial (Summer, in the works)

Film
- the sequel to "Number 5ive" (most likely called "Beat Lab" or "Number 6ix: Beat Lab"; not sure when I'll have the time and money to make this happen)
- Untitled short (summer)

I would love to do more films but funding it is the tough part so therefore I must pick up more commercial and corporate gigs. I still have fun with those though. Much more appreciative of any video work I have considering I was trapped in an office cubicle for the last 3-4 years.

Will update more soon... but for now, feast on this teaser if you haven't already. Appreciate the support.

"Beat Lab" trailer

Proud to present the new trailer to my new short/music video, "Beat Lab". This is one of those spur of the moment projects that I threw together, calling up old childhood friends as actors and family as filming crew. This was made with budget only for food and tapes. All equipment I own and lights from Home Depot. Shooting took place at my friend Scott Digital Martin's house as well as my parents' house in Olympia, WA.
